MFPA meets Kunsill Malti ghall-Isport

A delegation of the Malta Football Players Association (MFPA) along with a delegation from the General Workers' Union (GWU) Professionals Section yesterday visited the Chairman of the Kunsill Malti ghall-Isport. The meeting was set up to introduce the MFPA and its functions and to explore areas where the MFPA and the KMS can collaborate in the interests of Sports in general and particularly for the best interest of local players. The MFPA was represented by Dr Anthony Galea, Carlo Mamo and Konrad Sultana whilst the GWU was represented by Dr Cory Greenland. KMS Chairman Bernard Vassallo hosted the delegations. MFPA spokesman Dr Galea stated that the MFPA is looking ahead to working with KMS and many initiatives can be taken. We are proud that KMS acknowledges the important role of a local football players association and we wish to build upon this in the coming weeks. In the meantime MFPA is currently coordinating a recruitment drive for members amongst the football community with various meetings with club players.
