This privacy policy discloses the privacy practices for Malta Football Players Association. This privacy policy applies to information given by yourself voluntarily and collected by

MFPA Officials in pursuance of their duty. It will notify you of the following:

  1. What personally identifiable information is collected from you, how it is used and with whom it may be shared.
  2. What choices are available to you regarding the use of your data.
  3. The security procedures in place to protect against the misuse of your information.
  4. How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

We are the sole owner of the information collected. MFPA Officials only have access to/collect information that is given voluntarily via website, email or other direct contact with you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.

We will use your information for the following reasons;

  • to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us
  • to inform you about new opportunities, services or important information concerning football and sports
  • To update you about the Annual General Meeting
  • To assist you and/or represent you in legal proceedings

We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfil your request, or in pursuance of Audit Compliance required from us.

The information we have about you was given to us voluntarily together with the permission to contact you and retain the information. However, it is important to note that at any given time you may ask us not to, contact you in the future and we will fully respect your wish and refrain from contacting you further.

Your Access to and Control Over Information

You have full access and control over any information we have of you. Apart from the option to opt out from being contacted at any time, you can also have the following options with regards to your information held by us:

  • See what data we have about you, if any.
  • Change/correct any data we have about you.
  • Have us delete any data we have about you.
  • Express any concern you have about our use of your data.

Security

We take precautions to protect your information.

Website: When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline. Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page.

While we protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

Hard information: When you submit to us personally identifiable information or sensitive data via hard copies (such as contracts), that information is kept under lock and key and only accessible to MFPA officials working on your case. Provided that such data is only shared with third party individuals in pursuit of your case (such as with the Secretary of the Complaints Board).

Data Provided on Membership forms are saved both as signed hard copies, which are kept under lock and key, as well as transposed to our website backend, only accessible to MFPA officials who need contact information to send you correspondence. Membership details are not shared with third parties, accept in pursuance of an annual membership audit. The Audit firm selected is held to high confidentiality and accountability to ensure your privacy.

In the event of a known breach in our security system, notifications will be sent to those whose information may have been effected and prompt action shall be taken to remedy.

Surveys & Contests

From time-to-time we may request information via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and you may choose whether or not to participate and therefore disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code, age level). Contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this site and MFPA services in general.
